About US

We are a small congregation of about 50 members, but our reach extends to over 1,000 people. We seek seekers, build believers, and send servers.

Basic Beliefs

We believe in God who created and continues to create the world. We believe that God cares for the earth and asks us to be co-creators and good stewards of the environment. We believe that God came among us, as the man named Jesus, demonstrating God's power and God's love in his life, death, and resurrection. We believe that Jesus invited us to join in a community of faith where we love each other and offer light and life to the world. We are called to love people into loving God and following Jesus.

The Church is powered  and lead by God's Spirit. There is room in the church for everyone including people with a variety of backgrounds, life-styles, and opinions. We believe that the church is in the business of transforming the world through acts of kindness, mercy, justice, and grace. We believe.

Missions

Being the hands and feet of Christ extends beyond the church walls through philanthropy that helps our neighbors and folks outside the community. Members volunteer at the food bank in San Saba twice monthly. Our youth have supported the local battered women's shelter in San Saba with a "purse project" whereby they donate gently used purses filled with toiletries for the women.  We contribute and organize a backpack ministry for the students of Cherokee ISD and our church serves as a community meeting place.  These are just some of the many ways, large and small, that the church makes its presence felt.

Calender of Events

Church ministries include special services for Lent, Easter, and Christmas. A Vacation Bible School is hosted each summer, an annual Fish Fry in June, and the old-time Camp Meeting at the historic campground, which has been held every year since 1858. The Easter Sunrise Service, held on the cemetery hill behind the building, is followed by a breakfast for all who attend.
