From the beginning of time, time has been marked by the seasons. The seasons controlled the activities in which people participated. People prepared for the next season.
That is still true. In the church, we count time based on the life of Jesus. The year begins with the preparation for his birth which is followed by a season of ministry. Then we prepare for his death and resurrection. Then we prepare for the life of the church which carries on the ministry of Jesus.
The seasons don’t go very well if we don’t prepare. We make time so that we can be prepared spiritually. What do you need to do to participate in what God is doing?
