The Christmas Story - A Chance to Meet God

A sacrament is a time when God is real in the world.

The United Methodist Church recognizes two sacraments: baptism and communion. It is God who is doing the accepting into community in baptism and feeding of the community at communion.

The original sacrament is Jesus Christ. God became real in the world in

Jesus. We are about to relive that sacrament at Christmas. If we pay attention we will meet God again this season. Pay attention to the story. Pay attention to relationships and we will run into God who has come to see us. We will be participating in a

sacrament.
