Where Are You Looking For A Word From God?

A devotional that I read was talking a lot about prophets. I realized the message of the

prophet is always about submission to God and compassion toward people.

The leaders of government are about power and control. They use power to get what they want and use control to make people act the way they want.

Sometimes there is a politician who has faith and compassion as a starting point, but the momentum of power pulls them in the other direction. Expect the word of God from

the outside, not the inside of government.
